PRAYER


This is a favorite prayer of mine that I would like to share with all of you . Perhaps in your hour of need it will help you as much as it has always helped me.
Sometimes the cries of anguish rising up from the depths of our wounded hearts drown out your whisper of comfort, and we wonder why you can't speak as loudly as the voices that would rob us of all hope. At times it seems as if this will never go away, that this will be forever and we will be doomed to living the rest of our lives simply trying to survive- Healing is so slow- We would prefer a quick cure, or at least a strong anesthetic to mask the pain. We are tempted to ask you to let us forget what it is we are stuggling with -whatever has brought on this torment of our souls-We don't want to think- to feel- to cry anymore. But you oh Lord, have a better plan. You would use these dark days to teach us more about ourselves- more about life - more about You. Help us not to turn away and try to find an easier way. Help us to trust in your unfailing love. Bring the healing balm of your grace into our lives- and Please make us whole again.
